When
it comes to attracting my audience it was essential for me to incorporate
certain headings as I had a specific target audience that my music magazine was
aimed such as; dancehall and bashment, by me mentioning the genre that my music represents
not only will it attract the specific audience that it is aimed at however it
also attracts a wider audience due to the fact that most people know where the
niche genre originates from. Secondly the colour scheme illustrates where the
genre is from (Jamaica), I used colours such as green, gold and black which
represent culture and tradition in relation to the country that is being
represented.
My magazine also has a range of images
both male and female which signifies that the magazine is aimed at both
genders. My main artist is an attractive male model on the front cover of my
magazine in fashionable clothing to promote an enigmatic look, I drew sketches
of what I wanted my front cover to look like and then handed it to my audience
to see what they thought of it. I also done a questionnaire and passed it round
to a variety of people for my music magazine.
On my contents page I wrote about
festivals that would be taking place for my audience which also signifies that
my music magazine promotes functions for people to go to.
In my opinion I believe the layout of
my music magazine is quite sophisticated and elegant which would attract more
viewers to read the magazine.
I received verbal feedback from my peer
groups and they suggested what stood out
to them the most and what stood out to them the least.
